Recipe: The Burrell Daiquiri

If you’re looking for a hint of escapism this New Year’s Eve, The Burrell Daiquiri will inspire thoughts of somewhere sunnier and the shores of Barbados. Offering a refreshing take on the classic, the concoction is made using Equiano – the world’s first African and Caribbean rum brand that is on a mission to redefine the four-century-old industry.

Serves 1

50ml Equinano
25ml fresh lime juice
15ml agave nectar
3 dashes orange bitters
garnish with an orange twist

 

1.  Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice cubes, then shake well.
2.  Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass
3.  Serve straight up, without ice, in a tall cocktail glass
4. Garnish with an orange twist
