We are excited to unveil our collaboration with East London-based utility and modern basics brand L.F. Markey.

Founded in 2013 by Louise Markey, the eponymous label is a collection of modern women’s clothing inspired by traditional utilitarian workwear, known for its distinctive colour palette and the selection of hard-working denim pieces at its core.

Combining chalky hues of blush pink, duck egg blue, seafoam and ivory—underscored by Markey’s signature indigo denim—Whistles x L.F. Markey is a tight edit of 16 limited edition styles in colours that chime well with our SS20 collection.

Highlights include: a workwear overshirt in ecru—or for the risk averse among us, classic navy—with contrast top stitching, horn buttons and a gathered back seam for a softer, slightly more feminine silhouette. A boilersuit rendered in crisp dark denim, straight through the leg with a neat collar and front zipper for relaxed, low maintenance styling, and a pair of blush pink cargo pants, cuffed at the hem for the ultimate tapered fit.

Finishing the collection are three ribbed henley jerseys—designed to be layered under the dresses, jumpsuits and jackets or worn alone as a second skin—a striped shopper bag and a pair of high top trainers, available in beautiful brushed navy and the palest shade of pink.

The defining characteristic of this collaboration is its easy modularity. Every piece is made to be worn alongside one another, adding and subtracting as you see fit, or remixed easily with the casualwear pieces you already own.
