And where better to test drive this capsule wardrobe than the rugged landscape of Lanzarote, with its unforgiving climate, windy coastline, and raw, volcanic beauty.

It is best to temper your expectations – and your wardrobe. Utility dressing bestows a boyish energy on spring separates made for cooler climes; think worker jackets in muted sage green and stone tones, crafted in heavy cotton drill, worn buttoned as a shirt or loosely slung over ultra-feminine dresses.
Tailored pieces follow suit, falling in line with this utilitarian mood.
