In keeping with the brand’s emphasis on quality, not quantity, the capsule collection is a tight edit of 13 signature Hai styles crafted in 100% silk and reworked to echo the vibrant tones of Whistles SS22 colour palette. These are pieces designed to complement each other, from playful handbags and scrunchies to a lilac bias cut skirt and coordinating ruffle blouse and two classic slip dresses in bold shades of lime green and hot pink.

Dreamt up somewhere between Shanghai, The Netherlands and London, Tessa Vermeulen began the brand’s story in 2018 with nostalgia-fuelled silk. Childhood memories of rummaging through a dressing up box are woven throughout their cult bags and ethereal ready-to-wear pieces, each one designed to be cherished for years to come.
Conjuring up images of waves rippling in tandem with the movement of the silk, the campaign photographs Ghanaian British artist and model Kesewa Aboah against an atmospheric seafront backdrop.
