You can be who you want on holiday, but why stop there? With sunny days ahead, we plan to embrace an experimental approach to summer dressing; wherever the season may take us.
With that in mind, we took an edit of eccentric styles to Barcelona; a city that encapsulates everything we love about travel but most notably, a city steeped in opportunity. Capitalising on its infectious energy, we jumped between the vibrant streets and a modern apartment to remind ourselves of how to dress for anything – and do so with confidence.
Rich in colour, print and texture, these styles speak to the buoyant amongst us. An earthy palette comes to life with squeezes of lime, rays of yellow and deep shades of pacific blue. Meanwhile motifs cater to carefree moments; stacked shells, a modern checkerboard, playful daisies and a fresh take on the bandana print all hold our attention, whilst climbing vines and speckled leaves bring us back to nature.
Transporting us to a serene state of mind, considered materials and relaxed silhouettes bring the versatility we crave for impromptu summer plans. Lightweight knits nostalgic of 70s craftiness also feel ready to be shrugged into, whilst linen separates work for cities, beaches and everything in between.
This season, dipped necklines call for accents that highlight the décolleté. Treat necklaces like stacked bangles, staggering each one by length so they cascade for a day-to-night finish. As for the finishing touches, 90s-inspired sunglasses make a cool statement that will endure well beyond the season.
