In recent seasons, we’ve been quietly rethinking how we create considered staples to form the backbone of a forever wardrobe - embodying ageless, nonchalant style.
We’ve continued this exploration with the Pre-Fall 2023 Collection. Designed for discerning dressers, this is a confident new lineup of power players with an unwavering vision – and each piece feels relevant for styling now and later.
The colour palette centres around timeless black alongside subtle tones of olive, navy and brown – all of which synergise while leaving room for self-expression. A selection of bright, organic colours reminiscent of spring-summer continue to lift the mood; shades of lilac, purple, red and green create styles to smile about.
Remaining faithful to form, we reacquaint ourselves with Whistles Signatures, leaving much to be said for simple yet impactful designs. See long-lasting outerwear and denim, luxurious leather and suede, clever tailoring and rare dresses for sumptuous selections that are desirable and wearable. Each Signature continues to be distinct enough to leave an impression without distracting from a well-curated outfit.
Archived favourites return in the Clean Bonded Jacket, the Patent Leather Pencil Skirt, the Phoebe Leather Dress and the Lani Suede Tassel Jacket in a new olive shade. As before, they barely need an introduction. Meanwhile coats and jackets are a hallmark rooted in simplicity and versatility, bringing us a welcome reprieve from the noise of fleeting trends.
The collection’s after-dark staples can be styled with knitwear and simple, sleek accessories to ground them by day. A lilac sequin skirt is exposed with a split, exuding a strident sensuality, and a sheer shirt feels effortless when paired with 90s-inspired cargos. Cleverly cut bias skirts and mini-skirt suits can also be tweaked for an ever-changing schedule – day or night – with tops and accessories.
