Amsterdam-based, Scottish-born Hollie Mercedes is renowned for an aesthetic inspired by Scandinavian design and playful, modern style. As a designer, brand founder and style tastemaker, she’s garnered a loyal following through her discerning approach to dressing. On discussing her approach to styling, Hollie said “my style is all about easy, timeless pieces with a playful twist. I love natural materials, and things that feel simple but well-designed. I love to mix classic, good-quality staples with playful accessories and pops of colour or texture”.

This AW25, we caught up with Hollie to curate an edit of her most-loved pieces for autumn-winter, where she highlighted a selection of her staple pieces for the season ahead. When it comes to autumn-winter outfits, Hollie said “I’m all about pieces that layer well in interesting, unexpected ways. I love playing with different textures and proportions, so having a wardrobe full of mix and match layers is essential. Of course, a really good coat is everything. Once you have a great coat and a few solid wool layers, you can build so many cosy, creative looks all season”.

“A classic trench always works, and I really love the clean, car coat style of this one. I added the red knit over the shoulders for a pop of colour. It’s an easy way to make a more simple outfit feel more put together. The bag is perfect to fit my whole life inside for a busy day in the city”.
