A Bigger Splash

Colour, form and clean lines – the vital components of an effortless swimwear aesthetic. We took this season’s swim collection for a trial run in the staggeringly tranquil Villa Mabrouka in the hillside of Essaouira, Morocco – built by the architects behind the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech – for a pitch-perfect take on contemporary vacation style.

Energetic primary colours have a striking effect on pared-back shapes: a bright azure blue enlivens the classic maillot, while a slick of honeydew yellow adds sunshine to a crinkle-cut swimsuit.

Minimalistic and sexy – there will always be a place for the black two piece. This summer’s iteration comes with a square neckline and wide-set cami straps that kiss the arc of the shoulders. It’s all about purity of form, so style with a white linen pant and slick eyewear for a cool, monochromatic finish.

Consider earthy neutrals for a look that has synthesis with your surroundings. Baked browns, sunset tones and safari motifs bring the holiday-feel, while billowing trousers, bare feet and tousled hair keep you grounded – heightening the connection to nature.

Modern swimwear with a considered silhouette, thoughtful cover-ups – both useful and undeniably stylish – plus a few well-edited accessories, our SS19 swim collection is a masterclass in understated poolside elegance.
