3 Bridal Hairstyles To Try For Your Wedding

One of the biggest decisions you’ll make when it comes to your bridal look is your wedding hairstyle. Many brides opt for updos whilst others prefer to let long hair down – in the most literal sense of the term. With all wedding types and dresses in mind, the stylists at Blue Tit have rounded up three of the most popular hairstyles to inspire you this year.

1. The messy chigon

Gustavo, Assistant Manager, Brixton salon

“This year it’s all about an effortlessly messy chignon and adding beach waves to the entire head will give the hair extra of volume and texture. This is something elegant, fun and easy to achieve for your wedding and we expect to see a lot of this look on the runway.”

2. The blow dry

Declan, Colour Director:

“For the last couple of wedding seasons, a lot of the styles I’ve been creating have been more relaxed. Most brides want to look and feel like themselves as they walk down the aisle, so more simple blowdrys have been taking the lead. I feel like these styles are more flattering and boost a bride’s confidence on the big day. I would still advise pulling back the front sections of the hair or blow-drying the hair back, so that their face is free and visible during the vows.”

3. The finishing touches

Tiffany, Stylist, Dalston salon:

“A lot of my bridal trials for 2019 have involved low gathered up-dos so far. Brides are inspired by Blake Lively’s styles, with the hair pulled back in a loose way, with lots of texture. This gives a great lift around the face but still provides a cool and effortless feel. I’m also loving that key trends on the bridal runways are to wear the veil low and underneath updos – this is a cool way to keep the traditional veil current and chic. You can also try adding pearls and accessories to your hair for a modern alternative to jewellery.”
